Fox Sports Rebrand
www.dd8.tv

DD8 : When Fox Sports Australia launched a refresh of its brand to coincide with the 2015 season and the revamp of their new channel line up, the network commissioned DD8 Executive Creative Director Jean-Christophe Danoy to consult. Jean-Christophe worked alongside Fox Sports CEO Patrick Delany and the broader Fox Sports team. The direction was to produce as much as possible internally so that the Fox Sports team would live and breathe the refresh experience and remain united with the new concept. It was a mammoth effort between the teams in Melbourne and Sydney across nine months. The new look is sharp, modern and clear. Real athletes are shot and shown in real situations. The audience feels their anticipation and passion personally. They are connected. The tag line is aspirational yet simple.  DD8 created this showreel to showcase the extensive nine month project. Definitely the biggest rebrand in Australia (seven channels) that we can think of for some time.

Honda Civic Coupe Square TVC
www.altvfx.com

Alt: Partnering with LA agency RPA and LA production company Arts & Sciences, Alt.vfx created a world that can only be described as square. People, dogs, trees, skate bowls, haircuts and balloons stood in rigid contrast in awe of the new Honda Civic Coupe. Even the format of the ad itself is square, with the sides of the frame opening like a curtain to further showcase the car in the commercial. Alt was tasked with extensive digital environment work replacing buildings and landscapes with a squarer aesthetic, along with populating the square city with its inhabitants. Square pigeons and a poodle were created entirely in CG, with designs concepted by Alt. The square people were a combination of practical effects from film legends Legacy VFX, with Alt recreating the faces in CG to bring them to life.

Chanel - Origins
www.dirtypuppet.com

Dirty Puppet : We were lucky enough to be approached by iconic fashion brand Chanel to participate in their Digital Arts Program. Our brief was to produce 3 separate animations that respond to a set of abstract codes originally developed by Gabrielle Chanel. The 3 x 5 minute animations were screened worldwide in all Chanel stores on various screens, walls and building facades. Whilst visiting Japan in early 2014 we were able to view the 10 storey screen projection on the Chanel building facade in Ginza, Tokyo - an impressive site. The sequence shown is short cut down showcasing one of our animations from the program. 'Origins' is a response to the the iconic shape of the Chanel No.5 bottle and it's relationship to the Place Vendome in Paris, France.

Lexi, Lottie, Fred and Mozart the mouse leave no stone unturned when it comes to solving crimes in their town… such as missing persons, animal theft, art fraud, diamond heists, animal poaching, sabotage and much much more. Grandpa is usually around when a little advice is needed, and Mum and Dad are always supportive of their daughters.

Analogue / Digital Opener
www.dirtypuppet.com

Breeder : Double-exposures in motion. - One Screen Title and End Credit Sequences 2016 – Winner SXSW Excellence in Title Design 2014 – Finalist Desktop Magazine's Create Design Award for Motion 2013 – Winner Australian Production Design Guild Award for Title Design 2013 – Winner - Breeder was invited back to create the opening titles for Analogue/Digital, so once again, we threw ourselves into the project and didn't hold back. This year, we developed an ambitious aesthetic based upon the idea of double exposure, inspired by Alabaster's amazing track and the conference's program design. We worked around the theme of binary, juxtaposing the urban sprawl and nature, black and white, flight and fall, and unification and disintegration. It was a labour of love and we couldn't be prouder with the end result.

Pixel : An exciting upcoming short film by our Design Director Luke. Set in a Tokyo-esque alternate reality, the film follows the life of two strangers as they unknowingly become entangled in a fisherman’s life long obsession.
